Wayong, your personal opinion is very relevant and on the mark. May I share
your letter with the reggio list? It's what we as teachers talk about all the
time...developmentally appropriate. What did that father mean by wanting his
three year old to grow up quickly? Sheesh, why have the child! I on the other
hand wanted to do a puppetry class with middle and senior highs cause it
involved "The Hobbit". I asked some of the boys who had become involved in the
ballet class, why not puppetry? There answer? I did it once when I was a
"little kid". Going on interview trip next week to some around Atlanta...hmmm,
right near the Center for the Puppetry Arts! Have you tried there yet?
