Subject: PUPT: re:  Performers wanted


  Since the subject heading is still up there, even if the discussion has
changed somewhat in focus, I wanted to add a positive comment.

  When Steve posted the original message offering a paid position, it was a
service to us.   I think it is wrong to express indigation at such an offer.
But, virtually every response to that message was negative. The fact that it
was not a viable option for me, doesn't mean the posting is unwanted.

  If I was just out of high school and looking to do something for the
summer, it would have have been a different story.  The opportunity to
travel and do something I am interested would have been greatly appreciated.
Enough so, that the low salary would not have been an issue.
