You cansandwich them between two pieces of polycarbonate or acrylic sheets.
Also we have displayed some of our antique Chinese figures stitched to
linen or light canvas on stretcher frames.  But the leather and the dye of
the shadow figures is very sensitive to moisture and light. They will curl
up and discolor if left too long exposed to the elements, even intense
sunlight.
