Date: Wed, 11 Sep 2002 10:23:09 -0600 (MDT) Subject: PUPT: Jim Gamble workshop Thought I'd just send another reminder about the totally free workshop we're offering in Fort Collins on Saturday the 21st September. There will be a performance by Jim Gamble, followed by a Q & A session, followed by a free lunch, followed by a workshop covering hand puppet manipulation and some basic marionette manipulation, stages, and selection and adaptation of stories for puppet plays. Jim and a member of his company will present the 3-hour workshop. The Fort Collins Friends of the Library is sponsoring this wonderful event. Our target audience is librarians like ourselves who are past the paper-bag stage of puppetry, and want to hone our skills to make more polished performances. It's not for children, but for adults with some experience in puppetry. We have virtually unlimited seating for the show, and room for 100 people in the free lunch and workshop. If you want to come, please register by visiting our website. http://fcgov.com/library Scroll down to "Beyond Paper Bags Puppetry Workshop," and there you can see how to register. Fort Collins is in the northern part of Colorado, 90 minutes north of Denver. Hope you can come!
