The puppets used in Koruma Ningyo technique look like traditional Bunraku puppets, but are manipulated in an ingenious fashion by one puppeteer on a small rolling stool, who works the puppet's feet with his toes. The Koruma Ningyo Troupe was designated an Intangible Cultural Asset in 1962. Performances are September 20 at 8pm & September 21 at 2pm & 8pm at Northwest Puppet Center in Seattle.
