Hi Mary,
 Went to the link but got a "File not found" notice. I'll try later, but in
the mean time, have you concidered casting your face and then reducing the
cast to the size you need? I am not sure exactly how the reduction is done,
(I think mulitple successive castings) but you would do the first cast in
algenate (spelling?) to get a true cast of your face. Perhaps someone else
here could illuminate the method of reduction. I saw this at a Ren Faire
where they made "exact replicas" dolls of you - well, actually your face on
a doll. The artist was, shall we say, less than sharing in her method of
reducing the original down to the doll size, but I was not sure if this was
because she tired of trying to explain it to the average layman who couldn't
understand the techniques and materials or if she was trying to protect a
"secret" method.
 As for sculpting youself, I've heard the gym was a good place to start but
I've never found any artist material there. Model material maybe, but not
any sculpting tools and such. Guess you have to bring your own.
