Subject: PUPT: Re:Making Puppets Come Alive, Colin Date: Wed, 02 Oct 2002 16:48:52 -0400 With apologies to Carol, Larry, and Paul. To stay alive, a puppet has to move, not much and not all the time. Since your "Dinostar" is a vent type puppet, you'll need to fit him onto some sort of support stand which allows you to shift his position, move an arm, flap his wings, etc. when you want him to, but will hold him in a "lifelike" position while you're elsewhere. You've got to keep him in the show if he's going to be visible. The alternative is to make a smaller duplicate that can get in on the action a few times, or to have the original backstage "helping" you, and of course getting in the way a bit. Keep workin' on it. _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com --- Personal replies to: "will stackman" <profwill66-AT-hotmail.com> --- List replies to: puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Admin commands to: majordomo-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu --- Archives at: http://lists.village.virginia.edu/~spoons
