Thanks. Ken > Just to clarify, I said that red rosin paper used as a mache layer was as strong as old celastic and very fast drying. I use only two -three layers. One brown paper bag kraft paper one red rosin and use a fan for drying.... Really, really like it and prefer it to my 5' supply of old celastic which a lot of us have, just in case eh????? There are probably archives on this, cause I got it off of pupcrit when that discussion was going on. My technique is pretty much an amalgam of the other more knowledgeable people out there. Soak it in warm water (do this with the paper bags now too) crumple it up, squeeze out the water and use a sheet of glass as surface to cover the paper with glue. Use a brush. Glue is a mixture of wheat paste and yellow wood glue. Like I said all of this stuff I got from here on pupcrit. Also now use Magic Sculp GREAT STUFF!!!!! And a lot of times will also coat stuff with Sculpt or Coat....Really like that too. Suggest you check the archives and some of the web sites, that is where I found Magic Sculp.
