Subject: Re: PUPT: Re:GAZslam/puppetslam motherweb

Can I be a internet web nerd here for a minute?

Since there are so many puppetslams in the country
right now, I would be MORE than willing to maintain a
webpage of different puppetslams (which could be
linked to from sagecraft, from puppetslam websites, or
whoever else wants to)

This page could featuring information about:
city
dates of past performances
history of the particular puppetslam
performers at the puppetslams
what was seen
reviews
photos
highlights
upcoming puppetslams
contact info/deadlines for touring peoples with short
pieces
links to the host organizations of the puppetslams

NOW - I understand that some venues are small and not
too much publicity is wanted because of lack of
seating - I can minimize this publicity -
I would love to know that I could click one page and
see what was going on in places I might not be able to
physically visit otherwise!!

I've started collecting some information on these
already - and I will start work on this - if you
organize these events and want me to include you on
this, please email me at

:::: chacha-AT-chachaville.net ::::

for now this is the best way to reach me.
If anyone violently opposes this motion, let me know
and I won't list your event. Otherwise, I don't see
anything wrong with this idea.
I think PuppetSlams are great (though are all
puppetslams competitions or what?) and can provide a
wonderful space to hatch new performers.

I was on a wild puppet theorizing weekend with my
friends, old and new, at the Black Sheep Puppet
Festival - and I realized how important it is to have
nurturing performance spaces for puppeteers - and it
would be wonderful to have critique free and available
to all levels and varieties of performers - WITH
REGULARITY!!!! I applaud all the people who've started
such wonderful performance spaces.

Chach

ps. Don't forget Paul Calahnan (sp) and Sarah
Frechette and Cathy Mueller all also performed at the
last Boston PSLAM - and sorry to whoever I left out.
