If you are an organizer of puppetslams and I have not
already contacted you regarding this project this may
interest you, please read below:

I am conducting a nationwide survey of puppetslams* to
be compiled into the first edition of "PuppetSlam
Central" (working title), due out December 1, 2002 on
the web (print versions can be available) I am
contacting organizations in 11 United States cities. 

A questionnaire is available at the following link,
which also explains some of the reasoning behind this
project. If you are interested in being interviewed
and do not prefer email responses, I can call you for
a phone interview.

*My personal working definition of puppetslam:
Puppetslam: a performance featuring the short works of
a variety of puppet artists. Some keywords: evening,
cabaret, cafe, parlor, slam, salon, radical puppetry
festival, supper theater (as opposed to dinner theater
where you get served by paid waitstaff?), young
artists, immigrant artists, developing artists,
traditional/experimental performers, community focus,
different from a guild sponsored festival
