Wednesday, November 20th, 7pm - 9:30pm, at the Hope Theatre in the
Hollywood District, Portland, OR

One of the most prevalent styles today is the moving-mouth hand puppetry
style based on the video work of Jim Henson.  In this two and a half
hour workshop learn the ins and outs of Hand Puppetry manipulation as it
applies to the stage, including proper lipsync technique.  Puppets will
be supplied, but if you have a question about a specific puppet feel
free to bring it.

The instructor, Mary Robinette Kowal, has worked as a professional
puppeteer since 1989.  She has performed for The Center for Puppetry
Arts in Atlanta, GA; Jim Henson Pictures in the movie "Elmo in
Grouchland"; Martin P. Robinson (Sesame Street's Telly Monster) in
"Jackstraws", and for her own company Other Hand Productions.
