Subject: PUPT: CD Player with Autopause?


  I know I have asked this question before, but didn't end up with a good
solution.  Since the electronics industry changes so rapidly, perhaps it is
worth asking the question again...

  I am shopping for a CD player for a puppeteer friend.  The most important
feature is for the unit to have "auto pause". This is a play mode where the
CD automatically stops after playing one of the tracks.  Then by pressing
the unpause, it automatically plays the next tract and stops again.

  Other desired features are a wired remote and low cost.

  I already spoke to Philips, and they said that none of their CD players
have that feature.  Sony's web site didn't give enough detail about the
models to determine if any had this feature.  Hey, even an MP3 player with
this feature would be acceptable.

  Any specific models out there you can recommend?
