It's interesting, this reminds of a long past memory...

Years ago, a college -Columbus College of Art & Design kept courting me & trying to convince me to enroll in their college. CCAD offered me a full ride for 2 yrs (after that, I would have been on my own). Their 2 incentives were: portfolio builder - it was a known fact that students would switch to another art school after a year or two.  Their other 'plus' is that they worked closely w/Disney for recruitment for their animators and puppeteers.  They knew I was an illustrator with an interest in puppetry & animation, so the dean tried really hard for me to go to that school.  Even my parents were impressed how I was given the 'royal treatment'. I was really tempted - heck, I was a kid with little awareness of how the art world really works...but for various reasons I decided against it.

Goes to show that you never know, eh?
