Actually I really like black, adjustable baseball caps with scrim or other
see-thru black fabric hot glued or sewn (best) to the brims.  The scrim is
away from the face. It is much more comfortable than a hood.  There is even
enough room to comfortably mike the puppeteer if it should be necessary.
