Subject: PUPT: correction...

Regarding Mark Levenson's posting.... Forman Brown's 1936 version of the
book that eventually became "Small Wonder" is called "Punch's Progress,"
not "Pilgrim's Progress."

When the Yale Puppeteers claimed that they were the first "adult"
marionette theater in America, they were using adult, I believe, in the
sense of being somewhat "risqué," as their shows often had lines with
double meanings and spicy dialogue (and songs).

Also, Harry long ago created a marionette of Albert Einstein. Does
anyone happen to know where this is today?

Dan Bessie (Harry's nephew, and Forman Brown's cousin thrice removed;
and producer/director of the video documentary, TURNABOUT, the Story of
the Yale Puppeteers.)
