Date: Thu, 12 Dec 2002 18:34:33 -0500 My husband and I use a company called U.S. Healthcard also called PHCS - it is part of a Camber of Commerce Heath plan. The thing is a little confusing and is not really insurance--more of a discount plan. If you stick with the doctors, hospitals, and clinics they tell you and follow the rules you do get a discount, even on prescriptions. The plan is really inexpensive and in New Jersey other health plans are a small fortune (some companies won't even cover people in New Jersey). We take the money we would have paid to a mainstream health care insurance company and put it in the bank just in case we need it. That account is ONLY used for health care issues. The back up plan is to get a job at Starbucks Coffee. You only need to work 20 hours a week to buy into the benefits package. Not many companies offer that. Good luck finding what works for you.
