Subject: Re: PUPT: finger holes on papier mache heads

I haven't made many glove puppets. But I seem to recall handling one glove
puppet, which had a slightly cone-shaped neck. I now realize that this may
help the puppet fit to different sized fingers. A smaller finger just goes
into the cone deeper. I think it may also be good for the cone to be
somewhat flatted so that two fingers can go in side-by side. I know that
gives greater control, but may also allow for someone with very large
fingers to have the option of using only one finger in that same hole.
