Subject: PUPT: hand puppets holding things

I think I saw one of Lumen Coad's charming hand puppets hold, open, and
close a book--in "Going Up" at the 1999 Festival in Seattle. Did I see
that, or am I imagining things? Now I would like my hand puppet to hold,
open, and close a prop book (small and light-weight), but I can't figure
out how. It's the thumb and littler fingers of one hand which do this
work, right?

Can anyone help me?
