We thought about putting something up behind the screen, but get double
shadows.  I'll go ahead and give the shower curtain a try though.  I should
mention that we have three screens and junking them is not an option.  The
TD is out of time and can't build new ones.

The effect of turning into a translucent scrim happens with any lighting,
including indirect room lighting.  Changing the instrument is a good thought
other than that.  Our worst case scenario is that we cut the material out of
the center panel and staple new material to the back.  Right now the screens
are designed to be attractive on both sides, but we can avoid that if we
have to.
