From: RaraBird-AT-aol.com Date: Thu, 23 Oct 2003 23:14:43 EDT Subject: PUPT: a student of puppetry responds to the onslaught of emails! HI Wayong, Karen Larsen, Ken Burman, Emily, Jared Jenkins, Dorlis Grubidge, Christopher, and anyone else who has written to me! Thank you so much for your advice. I cannot believe how helpful everyone on this PUTCRIT list is. I have gotten so many responses, on and off the list, that it has been a bit overwhelming. Not only with getting back to everyone, but also looking up all the links (names of theatres, puppeteers, troupes) that each new mail introduces. I am a believer in researching every lead I am given. I like to make informed decisions. I hope I can find alumni to ask questions about the schools I am interested in. But usually if alumni are listed on the school's site it's because the school has asked them to be on it, and that means that they were pretty happy with their relationship with each other. I'd love to hear their opinions, but I'd also like to get negative ones so that my information is well rounded. The great thing about this PUPTCRIT list is that I am getting real opinions from real professionals, people who have either done college for puppetry or gone straight into it as a career. I have hit a gold mine of information with this list! And I appreciate how much everyone cares. Please feel free to tell me anything else that might be helpful in my quest. For those of you who have invited me to write to you off list, I am trying to respond to you all with much thought, so please be patient. Lots of you have invited me to write! For those of you who have invited me to call, could you please tell me what time zone you are in so that I don't call at an awkward time, and let me know if you have given me your home or work number so that I can catch you at the right place? THANKS AGAIN!
