John and Christopher,

Thanks for the leads on Punch and Judy performers (including yourself, in the 
future, Christopher).  The calendars are under the "current shows" icon at 
www.punchandjudy.com, created by Chris Somerville of Wales.  

I did get to see Paul Zaloom's show at the UNIMA Festival in Atlanta last 
summer... that and some Great Small Works, as well.

There are quite a few non-traditional Punch & Judy shows in the world just 
now, including Gretchen Van Lente's "Sid & Nancy Punch & Judy," based on 
incidents from the relationship of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen.  It's great to see 
the old show treated as a living art form.  And interesting, too, as I try to 
track some traditional shows down, is the fact that at least some Punch 
professors don't feel particularlly connected to the greater world of puppetry.  
They are often throwbacks to the ancient idea of wandering showmen, sometimes 
(blissfully?) unaware of what else is going on in the field.
