As a Head Start teacher, I often follow my children out to the busses with
a puppet on my hand. They love it. However, it is amazing to see how the
older kids also react (our school goes up to 7th).....they smile, wave, and
generally like what they see, whether it is my Big Bird, or Cookie, or my
tiger, etc.

Kids respond to puppets. lol....the question is why aren't teachers using
it more in their teaching? Ahhhhhhhhh,,, the answer is : standards and
fear. "They take to long to make." "I don't know how. " "Puppets are for
little kids." ver batim, and other lame excuses.
