There have been many variations on the theme of a puppet, or vent character 
taking over the life of the puppeteer.  The original Twilight Zone did one, 
and there have been films that used the idea.  Of course in these stories 
the puppet was the evil side of the puppeteer and did horrible things.  In 
the case of my life, I was taken over by mostly positive personality 
attributes which I became more confident of displaying in public.
