Mathieu -
Have you considered a taught, nude colored fabric elastic  (like the ones ballerinas have on their ballet slippers)going through the hole in the arm  (which you could reinforce with some sort of tubing) and back into the shoulder?  I am assuming you built a hole for the arm like you did for the legs, it's hard to see - but if so, you could put a fabric loop on the underside of the shoulder to loop the elastic band though.  The elasticity would snap it back sturdily while still allowing you some flexibility with the joint.
