From: "Mathieu Rene" <uubald-AT-magma.ca> Subject: Re: PUPT: Help: puppetbuilding crisis! Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2004 18:42:43 -0500 Thanks Serra, I was getting restless, trying to find the proper type of elastic. Nothing I have would work!, and I have a few diff types! I hapen to remember a costume place I have yet to visit, and they sell ballet slippers to professionnals! They should have the elastic you suggested. And Thanks Nancy Smith, I always forget about the "no need to have it perfect cause the audience is far" guideline. I'm a sick perfectionist. It hinders my freedom! After reading both your message, I had a flash! It could work! I'll try to make a hard top-of-the-arm piece, and wrap the hollowed fabric arm around it. If I combine this with the elastic, it could be my solution! But I'll try it before I declare victory. I have a bear hand puppet (no pun intended, it is a BEAR) to make soon, and it will be my first real try with fake fur.So your explanation will come in handy, thanks Nancy! But hey folks, keep the suggestion coming, I have so many puppets to make I could try them all! thank you! Mathieu René Créaturiste Marionnettes, masques, etc...
