Virtually every seam I glued with it came apart in the heat of the car (note that I was in South Fla, which is a sub-tropical climate). I still use it when I do workshops, because the fumes are so much less. If you work with good air circulation, and the airflow moving any fumes away from you, it really shouldn't be a problem to use the regular contact cement. I have a related question. A friend has been using doll eyes for his marionettes. On the most recent production, he used some "Doll Maker's Eye Wax" which he ordered from the same catalog he gets the eyes from. This wax is pushed around the eyeball when you set them in from inside the head. I was concerned that even minor heat could cause all the puppets to loose their eyes. But, he was confident that all those doll makers wouldn't be using such vulnerable stuff. I privately did a test of the wax on a radiator... and I am VERY concerned about the eyes coming loose. Any doll makers out there who can tell me for sure?
