To be perfectly honest, I don't like this, but I see the necessity of it.
Statements like "Strong puppeteer skills a plus but not necessary" irk me to
no end, but the reality is a fabulous puppeteer with a lousy singing voice
won't cut it in a Broadway show. Interestingly, I was discussing this with
my wife - whose a singer (though not usually professionally) and done
puppetry on Broadway - and she agreed with the show's position.

Let's just hope they give the same consideration to a great puppeteer with
an OK voice that they would a great singer with OK puppetry skills.
