Dear Pete Koschnick,

Glad to hear there is a puppet lab at Oberlin, my alma mater! We named
our puppet-and-actor theater of 25 years after what we thought was best
about Oberlin's legacy... and our first production involved Julie
Taymor, then a student, and Wes Sanders, a professor there for 13 years
before he left to co-found Underground Railway Theater.

I don't know your e-mail address, otherwise I'd send this just to you,
rather than litter e-mail boxes around the world. We'd be very
interested in puppet and other theater artists form Oberlin interested
in internships. Spread the word.

Best,
Debra Wise

Hey Folks,
Just a heads up, Eileen Blumenthal, co author of Playing With Fire, the
coffee table book about Julie Taymore, is in Oberlin and will be giving
a
lecture on “The Secret Love Life of Puppets”. Saturday, Feb. 14th at 4pm
in
Oberlin at the new science building (on ST RT 511, just west of
Professor ST
and just east of Allen Memorial hospital) in room N292. It’s free and
should
be pretty interesting and just a bit risqué.
Hope to see you there,
Pete
P.S. the puppet lab at Oberlin College has open studio from 4:30 to 6 pm

every Friday this spring. We’re in the basement of Warner Center, on
College
St. Open to all, come say hi. I usually bring cookies!
