  Thanks for the info.  I spoke with Rob today.  We probably won't actually
do anything about it. They are unlikely to tour much with the puppets, and
if so it might be a lot easier to just take the puppets out of the van if
they are going to be parked for a long time.

  I sort of feel like sewing on a warning label though...  I can picture
someone with this antique puppet 75 years from now and not knowing of the
wax problem.  They come home from the flea market, and leave the puppets in
the car while they go to another store.  They come back to find all the
puppets have lost their eyes!
