My goodness semi-sarcastic Chris!

Thanks for the time that it took you to write that whopping email. I'll try to take it in
stride...

Just a little backgroup info... this project is not a puppet show.. but since I am
very interested in puppets and making toy theaters for my art ...I thought I'd ask
this list for their thoughts. I thought that maybe some of the people who read this
list may be familiar with older technologies and that they may have a quick
solution. I am creating a large scale installation in a large gallery that requires 8
slide projectors and 8 different sound tracks (1 for each). I also create videos
and will have a digital video projector in the gallery as well... but that is beside
the point.

In response to your comment...
"I don't mean to rain on your parade, but at some point you will need to get
realistic about this project and see where you have to sacrifice. Perhaps your
original vision cannot be attained on your current budget or in the allotted
time frame. "

I am lucky enough to have an umbrella for your rain. I am realistic, I am an artist
who has exhibited for 20 years in US and abroad, and this project is completely
funded. Finally I find myself at the point in my career where I do not need to
sacrifice my vision.

The update on the project is this: I am using 8 slide projectors (I own these) and
8 Kodak Carousel Sound Synchronizers (purchased in my city). These will
move the slide ahead to the unheard beep from my cd players... that I am
recording on two tracks... on my mac...

best,
Michelle
