Subject: RE: PUPT: Cable control........ Date: Thu, 8 Apr 2004 13:42:56 -0400 From: "Susan Kinney" <susankinney-AT-puppet.org> Have you looked around a hobby shop that specializes in trains? They have small tubing and "piano wire" (also called something else but that escapes me right now)that come in lengths of 2-3 feet. You could cut them to size. Be aware that piano wire is extremely hard to bend or cut but it can be done. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Brose [mailto:propworks-AT-juno.com] Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2004 12:31 PM To: puptcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu Subject: PUPT: Cable control........ Looking for some ideas on cable control for a project I'm working on. What I'd like is for the cable to push rather than pull. Bicycle cable is really too flexible it seems and works better for pulling. Camera shutter cable, the throw is to short typically. I need something that will move about 1 1/2" to 2". Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have.
