Subject: PUPT: Help locating Italian Puppets

Hi All,

I need some timely help from the group. Our theatre has a business neighbor (owns a great neighborhood pub) who has been helping us a lot lately with local fundraising. She's just about to open a family Italian restaurant, also in the neighborhood, and would like to use an Italian puppet theme in the decorating. She's asked us to help her find the puppets & an appropriate puppet stage. We think this is a great idea as it adds more of a puppet presence in the neighborhood. Problem is, though Mr. Google and I found lots of compelling and visual research on Italian and Sicilian puppets, I can't seem to find any sources for procuring them... either new or antique figures.

Does anyone here have information about American or international sources for any of the following: Italian-esque puppets, stages, appropriate prints or artwork, appropriate props, or anything else that would have visual or authentic appeal.

I'd be most grateful for the help! Thanks.
