Subject: PUPT: Jim Gambles Marionette Master Class


Dear Friends,
        Some of you have asked that I make running report of what we 
accomplish each day.   
     Monday, from 0830 to 7 p.m. each of the 10 participants sculpted a 5 
inch head, made 2 or 3-part molds, cast in neoprene and (mostly) pulled the cast 
at the end of the day.
      Tuesday, each sclupted hands and feet, made four 2-part molds, cast the 
body part.
     Wed. Finished above and made bodies, discussing joints, materials, 
design, etc. Construted basic controller
     Thursday, will paint heads, hands and feet, costume and add strings.
     Friday will complete the marionette.

     It's been an exhausting three days behind us, but all agree thay have 
learned a great deal.   We have breakfast and snacks at the Studio, send out for 
lunch (Chinese, Pizza, etc.)   Evenings we dine together or in two groups at 
various Ethnic restaurants.   Some decline in order to sleep.   More later,
