Subject: PUPT: online info - puppetry styles for research document
Date: Mon, 12 Jul 2004 16:19:36 +0000

Good afternoon! I am conducting research for a document for our
organization giving a general overview including history and possibly
present day applications of various styles of puppetry, especially shadow,
black light and hand-and-rod, and also looking for information about the
history of live music in puppetry. I am also looking for sites that might
guide the puppeteer through use of symbolism, transformation, color scheme,
and optical illusion with size, although these sites may not be used for
information within the document, but instead for an "additional resources"
page. I am looking through the Puppetry Home Page site, but I was wondering
if any of you had any favorite sites, or sites that you find especially
informative. I am also planning on Google-ing the styles as well, but I
thought I would ask too. Any sites I use will be credited at the end of the
document. The document will be geared towards those with little or no
experience viewing puppet theatre.

Thank you so much, and have a nice day!

Sue
