From: "Mathieu Rene" <uubald-AT-magma.ca> Subject: PUPT: Re: Re: Mould making with silicone Date: Tue, 13 Jul 2004 12:38:21 -0400 Thank you Kismet! I will save this info for when I actually have a budget for getting the "real" moulding stuff. And I find it hard to find where I am (Montreal). That is why I was thinking more in hardware store terms. Even if the mould is less durable (three pulls instead of 50) it would be worth it. The warning about sulfur applies here, since the clay I use has some in it. I guess I'll use latex and be extra patient! It works, after all. Or.. I heard about using hot glue!!!! Oh my why didn't I think of that before! Hope it won't bee hopt enough to melt the plastalina! gotta make a test today! Thanks! I'm at ZERO budget for these puppets, since I was crazy enough to accept the contract, thinking I could actually limit myself to a crude, extremely limited puppet. I forgot how crazy I am with making it as good as I can. Now I'm "trapped" with making the best marionnettes I've ever made for a ridiculous price (you wouldn't believe how stupid I was it if I were to tell you) which won't even cover the priec of materials. That is why I want to keep at least a copy for myself, and perhaps sell some copies. Mathieu René Créaturiste Marionnettes, masques, etc...
