The funny thing is: CBS has been featuring Animal Makers' (and others)
puppetry for many years and never "noticed" it. Mainly, the shows call
when their ratings need a boost. When talking heads just isn't cutting
the clutter on TV. Check out the Polar Bear or the giant python action
sequences on "Lost". Now that's "must see" television...

Compare those first ratings to "Lost" last week which "featured" wild
boars attacks (which really weren't seen on camera). funny thing is,
now that the network had committed, the producer's didn't want to put
as much money into the show (no puppetry or wild boar rigs). Last week
was the first of those installments.

Puppetry is also in many ads that CBS carries. Who would know that the
rooster in today's Tide commercial is a puppet? or the sharks eating
Kellogg's cereal at a kitchen table are puppets?

We did the same thing for ABC with "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and
Salem the talking cat. Salem was supposed to be a one time gag.
Instead, it was a supporting actor for seven (7) seasons. One of the
few puppet supporting actors ever to help carry a television show. It
is a puppet that has many fans all over the world. Our work with Salem
was primarily as a ratings booster (used in promos to great advantage).

We're back puppeteering for CBS tomorrow. Great show and a great
script! Watch for the promos (featuring a talking turkey)...
