Himani Banerji Thanks Samir, then I guess she too is somewhat a "midnight's child". that helps. Actually i haven't read much of her creative work, thinking thru is the only work i stumbled accross recently, and that's a collection of essays. i am mainly drawn to these essays not because they are theoretically unique or exceptional, but because she makes somethings easy to understand - some of the conflicts being pitted as eithe/or. and also, of course i am drawn to her work because she works with her creative work in the "theory" part etc. and reading her work in conjunction with big Theory people (?) like Spivak helps. Well, we didn't have much of a discussion last time - but this hppens on discussion groups on e-mail as i've come to realize - there is an ebb and flow - we can pick up on Bina's(?) questions - i might look for her post in the archives and remail them or whoever's interested can check seminar-13 archives on the web - linked to the spoon website http://jefferson.village.virginia.edu?~spoons/ Radhika _______________________________________________________ homepage: http://www.pitt.edu/~rxgst6/jabberwocky.html for now sa-cyborgs archives can be viewed at: http://www.pitt.edu/~gajjala/sacyborgs _______________________________________________________
