Thanks Samir, then I guess she too is somewhat a "midnight's child". that 
helps. Actually i haven't read much of her creative work, thinking thru 
is the only work i stumbled accross recently, and that's a collection of 
essays. i am mainly drawn to these essays not because they are theoretically
unique or exceptional, but because she makes somethings easy to 
understand - some of the conflicts being pitted as eithe/or. and also, of 
course i am drawn to her work because she works with her creative work in 
the "theory" part etc. and reading her work in conjunction with big 
Theory people (?) like Spivak helps.
 
 Well, we didn't have much of a discussion last time - but this hppens on 
discussion groups on e-mail as i've come to realize - there is an ebb and 
flow - we can pick up on Bina's(?) questions - i might look for her post 
in the archives and remail them or whoever's interested can check seminar-13
