Hi Teena,

Try checking out the Rungh web page--(I can't remember the address, but I 
can find it for you, if you want).  They are a South Asian Canadian
magazine and would probably be able to help you.  You could e-mail them.
 
BTW if you haven't already, you should definitely include Shyam Selvadurai
to your list (although he would probably be considered 1.5 generation (?). 
I loved Funny Boy.  I would be curious to know what other people thought
