I see what you mean...sort of a middle-ground feminist...gimme, gimme, I
are an equal and deserve the same job, opportunity, pay, promotion,
bonus, company car (like that equal op ad for a car on tv !! :> )...that
would work, as long as all other status quo crutches are also in place. 
I recently read about a woman winning an honorary award for the first
time in some male-dominated endeavor or other, and beaming, (my words in
quotes) "I worked very hard, and if you work very hard, you, too, can
get this honor...if you deserve it like I obviously do!"  Is that a good
role model for women going into the 21st century...i.e., "CONFIRMING
CONFORMING" ?
