Subject: Re: publishers address


Could you all please help me find some addresses of potential pubishers
that might be interested in my book proposal which deals with "gender,
madness and postcoloniality" in African and Indian women authors. I have
sent a few proposals out and I have been assured that purely on a
commercial basis, my topic is too nerrow and that the audience for such
work is rather limited. However, when I go for job interviews in English
departments the interviewers are astounded at how I am all over the globe!
So the one more month of this fellowship that I have left over at the
Institute for the Study of Gender in Africa at UCLA I think I will not give
up and try to send out some more proposals but I though this time with your
help. Maybe I am just sending out to  not the right people. So could you
please help me and suggest some publishers that might be even interested to
look at my work? Thanks in anticipation.
