an extension of
cultural
linguistic

        ambush

bytes consuming minds

bit by bit

assuring my virtual complicity

luring me with material

                this "space" created for my
"speech"

(you can "speak" now, you poor soul, you...)

and these "spaces" of absences and lacks

where millions
lag
be
hind
structures

set up in their absences

(for your own good)

this "space" where I can have a voice again

after the strangling of my singing voice
my vocal chords

that re
fuse
virtually
still further into this linguistic/cultural sphere

vocal chords
un
practised
for almost a decade
even the remnants of tunes and rhythms

as they play on cds and websites
in cars
coasting along turnpikes

eternally roaming....
and the bytes search for bytes

waves seek out voices

that no longer exist

frozen in fetishized virtuality

the gophers dig for
voices
of the undead
dying repeatedly...
