for there can be no two ways
no space to imagine
love
kindness
and
beauty

just
allegiance
all-or-nothing
unthinking
allegiance to unfair narratives

often
very unfair...

so,
while we 

the illegitimate
sisters

born of time and circumstance
re-construct our lost childhoods

the sisters and brothers
re-narrate
us

for the one Patriarchal
Story

erasing us and our dreams
once again
