It has been years since I had the pleasure of enjoying the pulpit as much as
I do when Daniel enters the lions' den full of passion and grit (for who else
could ever discover unconsciously ravenous eyes, if you see what I mean-- it
is vision and goes to the invisible heart of the matter) and ever succeeds in
rising up, giving back, pushing forward, making new and leaving nothing
behind as there's always something to include, encompass reconfigure and
abridge or unexpurgate through the glorious explosion of colorful metaphor
and indicative language that rolls drips drools to pool from the tongue of
the oracle to the floor of the temple of wit and verve and literacy more
aflame than ever a library in alexandria but more eternal for its lack of
loss and need to be heard, to explore the new dominions, discover the
touchstones of every uncharted heart and step ashore from the eternal sea of
stars created by the reflection of lights in your eyes, oh! if nothing more,
if nothing else in deed, at the very least we have this roar of whispered
dreams.
