As she scanned

my uterus on her machine

blib blobbing away

with something that is not new life

                                 I heard the stories it told

of more than 25 years of activity
                 [the blob in my fallopian tube that now is a hulk
                                 the other blob that left after trying out 
the shell for a few weeks
                                         did not want to be a body]

the thoughts the emotions...

                                 asking that I pay attention
                         I am tired it said


                         You have no use for me
anymore

                                 body-parts ....
                                 bodies grow old
                                 the spirit must pass on

         soaring


it is the story of life and death
deathandlife
