the sentence


"but you were not there"

continues to haunt me as i trace the mystery of what happened with all of you

these past 20 years

but i wonder - if i was there would i be in a position to try and map your 
memories or
just
have the illusion of having been there?


if i was not there - you were not here either

because in my memory you were all someone else

mapping your memories through my present
i wonder what went wrong

can i be there and here for you now?

can you be here for me there now?
