be patient, i'm no deleuze scholar. but i am very interested in what you 
just said about deleuze focussing on "why" a cut seems hard or soft, 
rather than "that" it is hard or soft.  is the "seemingness" of the 
transitions related, antecedently or simultaneously, to what whole is 
being constituted or alchemicalized or released? please say more.
