The question of the relation of frame-by-frame animation to the film form
is perhaps related also to the genealogy Deleuze sets up in Ch.1 and
considers the status of animation in relation to film, saying that it would
depend whether the frame captured a 'pose' or a 'remarkable point'. My
guess is the latter.(I asked Adrian in relation to this how he would
position Chris Marker's _La Jete'e_ (a film of still shots)in relation to
such a genealogy. . .)
