For Deleuze on the relationship between 'theory' and 'practice' in the arts I
would have a look at the closing section of the closing chapter of Cinema 2:
The Time Image. You might also look into Paul Patton's essay 'Anti-Platonism
and Art' in -Gilles Delueze and the Theatre of Philosophy- ed. Boundas &
Olkowski, Routledge, 1994 (which is also interesting for anyone interested in
the relationship between Deleuze and Derrida, although I think Patton freezes
and oversimplifies Derrida's arguments).
