Thanks, Andrew Putter for accepting the "correction" or suggestion on 
the Cohen book: viz that the book wasn't really that abstruse. 

I looked at it again and there is a kind of detour via Althusser which 
seems unnecessary (the result surely of some PhD supervision or 
something). But it does not intrude. 

But I agree with you that it is anything but unput-downable. Given 
its subject matter it is surprisingly lacking in fizz. It is not at 
all close to the things Benjamin (or the Surrealists) were close to 
... A book on such a subject matter sounds as if it would be a 
treasure trove of the unexpected. But it is incredibly predictable. 

But thorough, precise, reliable.
