sorry to isolate this thought from so many valuable others but i have this 
question. 

is collage really the connective tissue of DIS/parates & associatves? what if i 
make a collage with multiples of the same figures? or many figures from the same
magazine or TV show?

what i am getting at is that i think the force of collage is distinctly NOT in 
its choice of figures but in its method (?). the experience of a collage is 
precisely the experience  *floating around between* the isolated figure and the 
combined figure.
